Whole-body hyperthermia study on treatment of major depression at Charite Berlin

 

Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Charité Campus Mitte has just started a randomized, double-blind controlled study of the efficacy of infrared-whole body hyperthermia in patients with major depression.

This study replicates basically the Arizona-Study with a higher number of patients (82 pts.). Additionally, patients with stable antidepressive medication are included.

A verum and a sham arm are compared.
