Hyperthermia Lecture in Dhaka / Banglades

As part of CME (Continuing Medical Education), Stefan Heckel-Reusser gave a lecture on wIRA superficial hyperthermia at the Ahsania Mission Cancer & General Hospital on February 20, 2020.

On February 22, 2020, a lecture was given on oncological fever-range whole-body hyperthermia at the National Institute of Cancer Research & Hospital (NICRH) the country's largest cancer clinic. The main question was: What role does immunogenic cell death induced by cytotoxic therapies play, so that the primarily unspecific immunostimulating effect of moderate whole-body hyperthermia leads to an effective anti-tumor immune response?

The event was sponsored by the Clinic EW Villa Medica, where heckel full-body hyperthermia has been available since May 2019 (see photo below).

Whole body hyperthermia at the EW Villa Medica Bangladesh clinic, managed by head Dr. Khaleda Adib. In addition to oncological indications, there is great interest in its use in rheumatoid arthritis. The clinic has a strong network in Bangladesh and cooperates closely with leading specialists in various fields.
