Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Charité Campus Mitte has just started a randomized, double-blind controlled study of the efficacy of infrared-whole body hyperthermia in patients with major depression.
This study replicates basically the Arizona-Study with a higher number of patients (82 pts.). Additionally, patients with stable antidepressive medication are included.
A verum and a sham arm are compared.
