The International Congress on Hyperthermic Oncology (ICHO) is a common event of the academic hyperthermia societies STM (Society for Thermal Medicine, North America), ESHO (European Society for Hyperthermic Oncology) and ASHO (Asian Society for Hyperthermic Oncology) and takes place every four years while each society organizes an annual meeting in its continent.
At this congress hyperthermia researchers, engineers and clinicians from Asia, Europe and Asia discussed lots of topics on hyperthermia technologies, biological mechanisms as well as clinical protocols and results.
Thermography-controlled wIRA superficial hyperthermia combined with radiotherapy was a prominent topic.
